Creating a mental refuge can often provide a brief escape or some relief from the stress of anxiety. Use this prompt to go on a mental vacation. What does your safe place look like? Who or what is there with you? Involve as many senses as you can, to make your peaceful place as vivid as possible. This prompt might not only help decrease your anxiety in the short term, but also give you a repository of positive imagery to refer back to in times of stress.
