Write about the happiest day you can remember and detail out what made it so special.

This prompt intends to encourage second graders to understand and express ‘happiness’. This exploration helps them understand not only what happiness means to them but also why certain events or things make them happy. This emotional exploration will further help them identify and appreciate the elements in their life that bring them joy.
