Whether it’s a real location or a place from your imagination, visualizing a “happy place” can be both calming and clarifying. Detail what it looks like, what it feels like, what it smells like, and what it sounds like. How do you feel when you’re there? What sorts of things do you do there? This exercise can serve as a form of creative visualization and positive affirmation aimed at reducing stress and anxiety.
