The Opposite Frame

Describe a fear from an outsider’s perspective.

Sometimes, distancing can help us understand our fears better. Explore a fear of yours from the perspective of a third person – imagine you’re an outsider looking in. How would they perceive the fear? Would they view it realistically or irrationally? Then, turn the tables and consider why you see it differently. This exercise allows you to gain a broader perspective and challenge your fear-induced bias.
