Write a narrative like you would have as a child, employing your favourite childhood themes and motives.

Creating stories as children can be among the freest forms of expression we ever engage in. Consider the kind of characters, themes, and motives you would have loved as a child – like magical creatures, distant planets, moral conflicts or adventurous pursuits. Create a narrative around them, letting go of any literary constraints of adulthood. Recreating this innocence can be an instrument in rediscovering joy, wonder, and boundless creativity that often eludes us in adulthood.
