Letter to your Future Self

Write a letter to your adult self from the perspective of your child-self – what hopes, dreams and worries did you have for your future and how do you view them now?

Children view adulthood through a complex lens of aspiration, apprehension and awe. Now, try to reconnect with that perspective and draft a letter that your naive, hopeful, or maybe even anxious child self would have written to your mature self. Reflect on the reliability of those impressions and how far have you come since then. This exercise emphasises hindsight interpretation and prompts personal growth and self-awareness, by aligning your past perspectives with your present reality.
