Sunset from a Child’s Perspective

Write about a summer sunset from a child’s perspective. What would they notice first? How would they react?

From the eyes of a child, ordinary things can become extraordinary. How does a child perceive the colors, the shapes, and the movement of the sun? Are they in awe of the ‘giant orange ball’ sinking into the earth, or do they try to chase the last rays of daylight? Would they be saddened by the darkness or excited about the night ahead? This prompt encourages stepping into a different viewpoint, sparking creativity, and exploring simplicity, innocence and childlike wonder.
