Hero of Hometown

Create a superhero whose sole purpose is to protect your hometown.

In this writing prompt, children are asked to exercise their creativity and knowledge of their local surroundings. They should think about what makes their hometown unique and how it could be threatened, then design a superhero who can save it. As they create this hero, they might consider his/her powers, appearance, secret identity, and primary enemies. They could further explore how this superhero interacts with the people of the town, how they balance their superhero and ordinary life, and what challenges they face.
