Weather Wonders

Describe the weather outside using as many descriptive words as possible.

Get children to detail the weather outside right now. They could go beyond merely stating “it’s sunny” or “it’s raining” and embellish with rich description. For example, “The wind makes the branches of the trees dance in a wild waltz.” This task pushes them to extend their use of adjectives and adverbs while turning ordinary weather observations into something more vibrant and interesting.
