Create a subplot about a seemingly minor character secretly protecting the protagonist without their knowledge.

This subplot allows for an additional layer of tension and excitement in the overall drama story as readers follow the covert actions of the unseen protector. The protective actions could be borne out of love, debt, guilt, obligation, or any other strong motivator that adds depth to the character and enriches the plot.
