Write a story from the perspective of a pet.
To foster empathy, it’s important to try and see the world through different sets of eyes. Have the children imagine what life is like for their pet. What things would seem strange or interesting? How would they react to certain events? This encourages children to consider things from a unique perspective and reinforces the lesson that all creatures have feelings and should be treated with kindness.
