Craft a short story where you alternate between two points of view: the detective investigating a crime and the suspect being investigated for the same crime.

This character-swapping exercise will challenge you to see situations from multiple angles and possibly stimulate your efforts to understand complex characters and situations. What evidence might appear one way to the detective but have a different meaning to the suspect? In what ways could both characters be sympathetic, or difficult to empathize with? Experiment with this dynamic to create suspense and challenge assumptions about character motivation and reliability.
