Write a story where the primary antagonist reveals something shocking as it ends.
A great cliffhanger can be a game-changing revelation that alters the reader’s perception of the story’s world. Maybe your antagonist is not who we thought they were, or perhaps their motives are more complicated than expected. A fundamental truth hidden till now could shatter the protagonist’s (and the reader’s) understanding of everything that’s happened so far. Make sure this revelation opens doors to further conflict, larger risks, and deeper questions.
