The Unspoken Language

Write a dialogue where much of the meaning is conveyed through what isn’t said – via pauses, body language, or hidden emotions.

This prompts the writer to reveal the complexities of communication beyond the verbal. It seeks to stress the significance of non-verbal cues – from a smile, sigh, to the tight clenching of fists. How can you convey a wealth of emotion and underlying tension without explicitly stating it? This is an exploration of indirect communication, character self-censorship, and unvoiced sentiments.
