Write about how your hero’s journey would differ without their principal antagonist.
This prompt asks you to consider the integral role of a villain in the shaping of a protagonist’s journey. Re-imagine your protagonist’s journey without their main adversary. What would be their motivation, their ultimate goal? Would their character growth be the same without the challenges that their antagonist brings? This exercise allows you to understand the need of a villain as a catalyst for hero’s growth and the escalation and resolution of conflicts.
