The Lost Lunchbox

Write a story about losing your lunchbox at school, and how you get it back.

Every kid has lost something at school and had to go through the process of finding it. This prompt asks the child to create a story around the sequence of losing their lunchbox and eventually finding it again. What emotions do they feel when they first realize it’s lost? Who do they ask for help? How do they feel when they get it back? This prompt engages problem-solving skills, empathy, and narrative construction.
