Narrate a story about a suspenseful fiddling competition a la “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”, but set in an Irish pub.
Does your character win at a tremendous personal cost, or lose but gain something unexpected in return? How are the character’s personality, courage, and wit reflected in their fiddling? Let the music act as a metaphor for struggles, hopes, fears, and dreams. While the competition may be the centerpiece of the narrative, consider the ongoing impact on all involved.
