Write about an internal conflict your villain is struggling with.
Even villains wrestle with contradictory feelings or moral dilemmas. Is there a latent sense of guilt eating at them from inside? Or a longing for redemption? Or are they battling against feelings for the protagonist? Delineating such internal conflicts can create a multi-layered villain who’s simpatico, thus enhancing your narrative depth.
