Folktales and fables often depict characters as plainly good or evil. But what if we could hear the story from another perspective? This prompt encourages empathy by stepping into the shoes of the villain or misunderstood character, as well as critical thinking by challenging traditional narratives. It also touches upon the theme of perspective and how it can drastically alter a story’s interpretation.
