Write a story about a shape that turned into a character and went on a journey.

Shapes are a common start in children’s art, and can also be a springboard for imaginative storytelling. What if a circle, square, or triangle had a personality and embarked on an adventure? Ask kids to think about their character shape, where it might go, who it might meet, and what might happen. This opens up creative narrative possibilities, allowing children to develop a storyline, characters, and interesting events based on simple geometric shapes.
