Sensory Scavenger Hunt

Choose one of your favorite locations, indoor or outdoor, and describe it using vivid, descriptive words.

This prompt encourages children to use their five senses to describe a place that they love. Encourage them to paint a picture with words, detailing what they see, smell, touch, taste, and hear. Questions can range from “What colors and shapes can you see?” to “What does this place smell like?” or “What sounds can you hear?” This exercise allows children to discover the depth and details within their surroundings while enhancing their descriptive vocabulary.
