Rewriting a Classic

Choose a classic fairytale and rewrite it from a different character’s perspective.

This prompt encourages exploration of alternate narratives and provides an opportunity for deep characterization. You may choose a minor character, the antagonist, or even an inanimate object to be your narrator. Throughout this exercise, envision and portray the untouched facets of the fairytale, giving it added depth and dimension. This will allow you to understand different perspectives and the multi-dimensionality of stories and characters.
