Retrospective Apology

Write a monologue of a character apologizing to someone they can no longer reach.

Whether due to time, death, or distance, the character cannot directly deliver their apology. Ask yourself, why has the character chosen now to apologize? Does the apology time fall on a significant date like a birthday, anniversary, or death day? This writing prompt explores regret, time, loss, and the human need for closure.
