Select a childhood memory and describe the scene using your five senses.
Our memories often lack clear sensory detail. This prompt encourages you to recall a memory, and then try to fill in the sensory gaps: smell, sound, touch, taste, and sight. What could you hear, and how did it sound? What did your surroundings look like, and how did it make you feel? This exercise clashes feelings of nostalgia with your observational skills to create an enriching recollection.
