Our world today is deeply impacted by the events of the past, and so should be the world in your story. It could be a war, a revolution, a cultural shift, or the invention of a technology that drastically changed the course of history. Use this backstory to lend depth and complexity to your world. This historical event will provide a template for your characters’ experiences and attitudes.
