Cultivating prediction and logical reasoning skills are key to cognitive development. The students have to consider how a story could have ended differently based on character traits and story developments. They will need to make logical conclusions on how their chosen alternative ending would affect the overall narrative and character arcs, essentially honing their evaluative writing and storytelling skills.
