Plotting the Villain’s Backstory

Write from the antagonist’s perspective about their backstory and what made them turn into the ‘villain’.

It’s often said that ‘every villain is a hero in their own mind.’ In this prompt, the writers are asked to delve into the mind and past of the antagonist, tracing their journey from an average person to a villain. This approach helps to humanize the antagonist, exploring themes such as misguided ambition, pivotal life-changing events, or oppressive circumstance which may have led them to their villainous paths.
