Write a journal entry from the viewpoint of your pet.
This fun exercise prompts students to put themselves in someone else’s shoes, or, in this case, paws. Describing a day through their pet’s eyes can help students understand empathy and perspectives. They may write about usual activities like eating, playing, exploring, the reactions to their human family, or even the mischiefs they get up to when no one is home.
