Parallel Despair

Create a story in which the protagonist is sent to a parallel but dystopian universe of their world.

This fanfiction prompt encourages you to immerse your characters in a realm quite opposite to their own. This dark, dystopian universe can serve as a reflection of the protagonist’s hidden fears, insecurities or perhaps their unspoken desires. How would they survive in this rather grim and harsh reality? How do they adapt, and how does this affect their character? Try to bring forth the innate struggle between the need for survival and the preservation of their morals.
