My Life as a King/Queen

What would your average day look like if you were a king or queen?

This prompt allows kids to imagine a life of grandeur and power, where they are rulers of a kingdom. They could describe their subjects, duties, and exciting episodes, or maybe discuss the challenges and burdens of being a leader. The theme encourages an examination of societal structures, leadership roles, indulges their fantasies, and encourages them to consider “power and its discontents.” It also allows practice in descriptive writing and world-building.
