Life as an Everyday Object

Choose a mundane object in your daily life and write a poem as if you were that object.

Ranging from a teacup to a door handle, everyday objects witness a myriad of scenes and emotions. Step into the life of an object and capture the world from its perspective. What would it see, feel, know, or wonder? This exercise pushes you to think outside the comfort zone of human perspective and practice empathetic and imaginative creativity.
