Think of a problem you or someone you know currently has and invent something that would solve it.

Promoting empathy and practicality, this prompt pushes first graders to think about ways they could improve the world around them. In creating a solution to a real-world problem, students are encouraged to think critically and empathetically which trains them to think beyond themselves. This encourages practicable problem-solving thinking at an early age.
