The Golden Rule states “Treat others how you would want to be treated”. Write about a time when you applied this rule, or a time when you failed to do so.
This prompt allows you to reflect on your actions in the light of one important ethical principle – empathy. Maybe there was a time when you stood up for someone because it was what you’d want if the roles were reversed. Or perhaps there were instances where you fell short of this ideal. What are the lessons learned?
