Write about your feelings on your first day of first grade.
This special event is a mixture of nervousness, excitement, and a little bit of fear. It is a new chapter opening in a child’s life—filled with new faces, new environment, and a new rhythm of life. Ask your students to write about how they felt on that significant day—this can help boost their confidence, reassure them that everyone feels a bit scared in a new situation, and subtly instill in them the love of learning and school.
