Reflect on some changes you have noticed in your local environment over the years. Do you think these changes are positive or negative for the environment?
This encourages students to think about the direct impacts of environmental changes. It also causes the learners understand the imminence and urgency of environmental problems, as it pushes them to look for traces of these problems in their surroundings. It could be anything from noticing more litter on the streets, trees being cut down or unusual weather patterns.
