This exercise is designed to help 6th graders practice their skills in providing rich, vivid details and descriptions to bring a setting to life. Think deeply about places you have visited, from the color and patterns of the terrain to the smells that lingered in the air, and everything in between. The more detailed and immersive your descriptions, the stronger your overall story will be.
