Imagine a character who’s been perfectly normal and mediocre throughout the entire story, but at the climax, is revealed to be the hero.
Skipping away from the usual heroism-theme, give your character an ordinary and unimpressive persona, only to unveil their significance at the climax. Think about why your character would’ve played this role so secretively – did they have a true motive or were they completely unaware of being the protagonist? Was the plot manipulated by them, or is it about their self-discovery?
