Write about a character who is predicted to bring about a great change or tragedy, only to fundamentally avert the prophecy.
Turn the ‘prophecy’ trope on its head by having the foreseen tragedy or great change be averted. What does this do to the characters who believed in the prophecy? How does the prophesied character navigate through the anticlimactic turn? Writing about this subject allows writers to challenge status quo, question societal norms and delve into themes of self-determination and free will.
