Pick an inanimate object around you and imagine it could speak. Write a dialogue of your conversation.
This allows children to practice perspective-taking and empathy by imagining the world from a different point of view. What stories could a 100-year-old tree or a brand new pencil tell? What questions would they ask, and how would they feel? Exploring these ideas helps children consider things outside their regular human experience, broadening their understanding and promoting creative thinking.
