Your protagonist is chased through a rugged and dangerous wilderness. How does they survive?

This theme dives deep into survival skills, man-against-nature conflicts, and tests of endurance. The wilderness can be as much of an enemy as the one chasing the character. Consider elements such as overcoming physical obstacles, the weather, lack of resources, and wildlife encounters. How does the character use their knowledge and skillset to turn the wilderness to their advantage?
