Pretending to be an outsider looking in may give you the ability to view your depressive episodes with a more objective lens. Be descriptive and try to capture this &#8216;alter ego&#8217;s&#8217; experience of depression completely. This exercise could potentially lead to new insights and ways of managing depressive episodes.
