Create a villain with the power to control minds, yet uses it out of necessity rather than malice.
The villain is seen in a sympathetic light when they use their mind-controlling abilities not for their reality-bending entertainment or domination, but out of desperation. This could be to protect someone they love, to prevent a catastrophe, or as their only means of self-preservation. Use this plot to question the boundaries of morality, the misuse of power, the double-edged sword of totality, and the responsibility that comes with such a tremendous capability. Will their acts be justified? How conflicted are they about using their power?
